Inking Embossed Image Made Easy!

Welcome Stampin' Friends!
Here is one of the cards we made at club last week using the Thankful Forest Friends stamp set from the 2015 Holiday Catalog! This sweet bear is adorable. Just fussy cut him out and made him the center of attention on this card.
Embossing always gives cards and paper projects texture and the "step it up" look! Inking up embossing folders before running through the Big shot to add color to that raised image, is a great technique! For me however, it is also a very messy technique. Inky fingers (shows just how much we love what we do), but getting the ink everywhere except where is was supposed to be is another story.
Here's an idea for an easier way! Use a Q-tip like a sponge dauber. It has a small tip and gets the ink right where I wanted it, on the embossed tree bark. Worked well, quick and easy.

Some products used for this card!
