It's All About Da Base-Fun Fold Card!

Welcome Stampin' Friends!
Like most card templates...It’s all about da base, (bout da base, no treble.) Yea, I’m gonna be singing that all day (in my head).
Pop-up Box Stand Card, Card in a Box, Box Stand, interactive card, whatever you want to call it, it is adorable and one of the cards we will create in my "Sprinkles of Life" Stamp Camp in August!
Once you know how to make the base, anything goes! This one is landscape style. I have also included measurements for the portrait style below. I print the instructions and make a template from copy paper to keep on hand. Trying to find the video I saved, pinned or liked is like trying to find a needle in a haystack! Here is a written recipe you can print.

Pop-up Box Stand Card cardstock you'll need:
Pop Up Card piece:
       4" x 3-1/4" piece to be stamped
       4 1/4" x 3 1/2" mat piece to frame stamped piece
*Note: this piece will “slide” into the box base. Don’t add any embellishments so it can slide easily.

Da Base (box) piece is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"

Designer Series Paper:
       Four pieces measuring 5-1/4" x 1-1/8" strips
       Two pieces measuring 5-1/4" x 1/2" strips
  1. Using paper trimmer, line up base (on long side) at 4-1/4" and create slit by lowering blade a tiny bit before 1" and cutting to a tiny bit after 4-1/2". This will create a slit in the center of base which will allow the card to "pop up".
  2. Score at 3/4", 2-1/8", 2-7/8, 4-1/4" (slit line), 5-5/8, 6-3/8" and 7-3/4"
  3. Attach the DSP strips in the proper scored sections, leaving the bottom and top sections empty.
  4. Reinforce all score lines and add adhesive to the bottom and top sections that do not have DSP on them. Use Fast Fuse or glue to ensure box does not come apart. Set base aside.
  5. Do your stamping on the card piece and attach to mat piece.
  6. Slip your stamped/matted piece into slit on base from the front (facing you) and pulling down from underneath. Make sure your DSP is facing the way you want it to on the front.
  7. Fold the bottom adhesive section up and pull card down to edge from underneath. Press down to adhere the card to the base.
  8. Fold over the top adhesive side and pull down to bottom of the base, matching up to the edge. Press to adhere. Your stamped card is now inside the box base!
Make one and you'll make many more! Remember to keep a template for yourself! Dawn Olchefske has a great tutorial here
I still haven't attempted the video world. But if you are a visual person, there are plenty videos there. Google it!
