Sprinkles of Life Center Step Card

Welcome Stampin' Friends!
Playing with some new catalog goodies, we made this center step card at Stamp Club last week. The "Sprinkles of Life" stamp set has so many possibilities! The New 2015-2017 In Colors make a delicious looking ice cream cone!
Special Note: Sprinkles of Life stamp set (inside of the back page in the 2015-2016 Stampin' Up! Catalog, is our NEW Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set (RMHC)! As Stampin' Up! supports RMHC, they donate $3 for every stamp set purchased, to help keep families together and surrounded by love when children are receiving medical treatment far from their homes.
Changing up the color combo (Blackberry Bliss, Bermuda Bay, and Delightful Dijon) that coordinate with the new Bohemian Designer Series Paper, make this a vibrate and great masculine card.
The step card technique has been around a long time and you can find the tutorials or videos all over the internet. I'm certainly not trying to re-invent the wheel, this is my version...in pictures.

Center Step Card
Just a note, I always use a piece of copy paper first as a test run and keep it as my template for future reference.

Piece of cardstock measuring 5 ½” x 11"
Using the Paper Trimmer
•Line up cardstock in paper trimmer, with the short side at top and the long edge side measuring at the
4 ½” mark on left and 1" mark past the cutting blade on right.
•Position the cutting blade at 1" and cut from 1" down to 6 ½”.
•Flip card over and do the same on the other side.
 Using the Simply Scored Tool:
•Place cardstock in scoring tool with long side at top and cut lines to the left. Score from top edge to cut line at 1", 2” and 6 ½”. Score in between cut lines at 5 ½”.
•Flip cardstock over, then again score from top edge to cut line at 1", 2” and 6 ½”.
•Fold on score lines and reinforce with bone folder. Mountain folds on first, third and center score lines. Valley fold on second score line.
Using a piece of card stock measuring 4 ¼” x 11”
will make the the center section a little thinner, but the instructions are basically the same...
Using the Paper Trimmer:
•Lineup cardstock in paper trimmer, with the short side at top and the long edge side measuring at the
3 ¼” mark on left and 1" mark past the cutting blade on right.
•Position the cutting blade at 1" and cut from 1" down to 6 ½”
•Flip card over and do the same on the other side.
Using the Simply Scored Tool:
All the score lines are the same as above!
Base is done! Both sizes fit nicely in Stampin’ Up!'s
 5 ¾” x 4 3/8” Medium Envelopes!

  1. Are the two cards put together as one?

    1. No. It is one card, scored and center cut as above. The last picture with the two cards is just to show two different center measurement you can do. Hope this helps!
