Show and Tell


Enjoyed a Sunday afternoon of friendship and creativity 
with the Create Happy Crew! 

We swap cards, admire and share each others ideas, do a project and enjoy each others company! Our Nancy supplied the project this month. It is the card in the middle of picture. Thank you, Nancy! Had fun playing with some new products from the 2013-2014 Idea and Catalog (available to customers on May 31!) 

Besides Stampin' Connection (an online demonstrator only site), we love getting ideas from Pinterest and other demonstrator too.
This adorable lion punch art was created by Kim, who obviously puts a lot of work into her swap cards!

Finally Created My Facebook Business Page!


We are all so busy with things we have to do; house work, laundry, grocery shopping, preparing meals, paying bills, taking care of others, full time jobs…before you know it the day-week-month is over! Not many of us have help or can pay to have an assistant, housekeeper, or webmaster. But I am sure trying! Someday, Stampin’ Up! will be my full time job! Yea, working hard for that day. But love it so much, and to  play with ink, paper, stamps and enjoy friendships everyday sound great to me! Talk about a dream job. Creating Happy with hand crafted cards and gifts for family, friends...strangers even...makes me a happy girl!

 The business end of it, on the other hand, isn’t so easy. Especially figuring out “how to” use, input, and manage the social network craziness and actually finding the time to do it. I have finally created a business Facebook page! Something that should have taken 10 minutes, took about 2 months! Not really sure how, and may not remember how to change or post things the right way again…but I did it! Please, check it out and LIKE my Create with Gwen page.

Embossing on Window Sheets


Welcome friend!
I love creating cards and I'm pretty sure the heat embossing technique is my favorite. Stamping and embossing on Stampin' Up! Window Sheets gives the wow factor and makes your recipient feel special! Us card makers love that!  
Stamp Club members made this card at our meeting. We stamped the images from the Secret Garden set (#129141 wood/#129144 clear) with Craft White ink (#101731) and used clear embossing power (#109130) and heated with our amazing Heat Tool (#129053). 
Tip: Wipe down the window sheet piece very well with a used dryer sheet to clean off any finger prints of marks. Embossing Buddy (#103083) is perfect for card stock and other materials, but do not use the Embossing Buddy on the window sheet before stamping. It will leave a bit of a chalk residue and pick up some of the embossing powder. When you heat emboss, this residue will make for a sloppy look.
 It is a lot of fun. Try it. Let me know what you think and how it worked for you!

MOSAIC TILE TECHNIQUE CLASS                   MAY 14  10am or 6pm
We will create cards using sticker paper, embossing, and a mosaic tile technique. Fun and easy technique and a great way to use your left over Designer Series Paper!
